MG Midget Austin Healey Sprite 1970 Riviera Blue Wire Wheels Overdrive
Delighted to have back in stock the above Spridget last sold by me in 2018. A unique car comprising all the best points of a Midget in one neat Package.
Chrome bumper wire wheels 1500cc engine and a Triumph Spitfire overdrive gearbox with a 3:7:1 rear axle ratio gives you a 60, s British sports car with easy cruising motorway capabilities. 80/ 90 mph equates to 3500/ 4000 rpm in overdrive top.
I have known this car for the last 31 years through numerous different owners but has been in its current finished version for the last 7 years.
The car features a fully rebuilt body comprising new floors. sills, inner and outer front and rear wings, doors bonnet, boot floor etc. Panel fit is excellent and has been done by ourselves over the last 15 years.
The engine bay is nicely detailed and features electronic ignition and K&N air filters.
All the interior and hood is all new approximately 7 years ago but has only covered approximately 1500 miles in that period
The base car is a 1979 1500 Midget with the long back axle ratio. The body is fully rebuilt to chrome bumper specification. A Triumph Spitfire Overdrive gearbox was added along with conversion to wire wheels . A complete colour change to a genuine 1960, s Midget / Sprite colour with matching trim and hood. Icing on the cake is the presentation as a Austin Healey Sprite with period registration.
Great little car ready to use. A car definitely not for a purist or originalist
