Description
A really beautiful, home-market example built in December 1965 and first registered in May 1966. Finished in dark British Racing Green with contrasting leather interior, with chrome wire wheels and black, quality double-duck hood. This car has had a fortune spent it over the years, including an extensive body restoration and repaint in 2013, a complete new interior in 2023 and most recently (May 2024), a reconditioned 3-synchro gearbox complete with overdrive was fitted. We understand that a reconditioned Ivor Searle 5-bearing engine was fitted approximately 11, 000 miles ago. A few minor modifications have been made along the way, to include the fitting of electric ignition, rear Spax shock absorbers, and a Kenlowe cooling fan. Recently the front shock absorbers and kingpins were replaced. The underside of the car is excellent, the engine bay is nicely detailed and the corrosion-free boot is carpeted. Low mileage matching tyres are fitted to very good condition chrome wire wheels. This is not only a great looking car with no bodywork issues, it is also a great driver, with nice smooth engine, gearbox, banjo type axle, and the benefit of overdrive. Very good performance and handling – an absolute pleasure to drive. Comes with a good file of old invoices, old MOT certificates, Heritage Certificate, workshop manual, current V5C, and MOT to August 2025.
