A UK car, restored some time ago and previously sold by us.
The TD was restored in the nineties and there is a large history file detailing this and the subsequent works. The engine was fully rebuilt and converted for unleaded petrol by Maidstone Sports Cars 4, 900 miles ago as was the gearbox. Again, everything is invoiced and detailed. The history file goes back to 1965 and the MOT certificates to July 1972 and show the current registration number. The car lived in Ireland for a number of years and has retained its registration mark.
The MG has an XPAG 1250cc, four cylinder engine, a four speed gearbox, a mohair hood, side screens, and a full tonneau. The engine Received a bottom end overhaul last year, including a new crankshaft.
The Midget remains in lovely order with clean, straight bodywork and tub, excellent chrome and a gently softened interior. The doors and panels fit correctly and the car sits foursquare. The bonnet has microblistering in the paintwork, and there are some very light blemishes where things have settled over time. The doors shut cleanly and the underside is very good and well presented.
A very smart, and rustfree, TD that has mellowed nicely.
