Hello , L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this magnificent Austin Healey 3000 MkII type BJ7 in a stylish and elegant configuration with its Colorado Red paintwork and black interior with matching piping .
The Big Healey has a timeless style and is perfectly balanced thanks to the in-line 6-cylinder engine which combines flexibility and torque. The model we are presenting to you has received a total body-off restoration between 2021 and 2022. A file of over €35, 000 of invoices accompanies the car. The body was stripped bare and the chassis replaced as new in order to reassemble this Healey in perfect condition.
Extensive sheet metal work was carried out before painting, and all the chrome and fittings were replaced. The upholstery, soft top and carpets were also completely redone by a saddler.
A Moto Lita wooden steering wheel completes the typically British chic and sporty interior. The instrumentation and the entire wiring harness have been refurbished for the occasion. The engine has also been reconditioned and is in full health, expressing itself in a raucous melody typical of the 6-cylinder Healey. The gearbox, whose sealing has been revised, locks properly and features overdrive.
An aluminium radiator has also been fitted to improve engine cooling.
The running gear is precise and the braking perfectly effective. The car is fitted with Michelin tyres and has retained its original painted wire wheels. As beautiful underneath as it is in presentation, the restoration was carried out according to the rules of the art and was not carried out to save money.
