Purchased by the current owner's father when it was two years old, this beautiful GTE was kept in a heated garage and was serviced annually and the chassis protected regularly. It was only ever used as a weekend toy.
One year it failed to proceed because the clutch was stuck after the winter lay up and it stayed in the garage for some years, resulting in the low mileage.
The Scimitar passed to the son and in 2021 it was treated to an extensive renovation with invoices totalling nearly £30, 000. The paintwork is some of the very best that we've seen on these cars and the interior is excellent with little or no wear anywhere. The chassis is the original and it's well protected and shows no evidence of any repairs or any deterioration. The Dunlop alloy wheels are lovely.
The Essex 3. 0 litre engine has been completely rebuilt and now runs a fast-road camshaft which makes it slightly peppier without being aggressive. All the work is documented.
In really fine order, this SE5a is one of the nicest that we've been involved with over the last ten years.
