MG TA, year 1936. Colour British Racing Green combined with a green leather interior and black carpet. Pale brown hood cover. In the year 2020 This wonderful MG TA was purchased from from the 94 years old owner in Texas by Altena classic Service. The history of this MG TA is interesting; the car was brought over to the USA by an air force pilot after WW2, and the unique original British registration ‘CAR615’ is still present, as is the USAF ‘registered vehicle’ badge with number CDV 198. The car arrived in the Netherlands in a never restored ‘survivor’ condition and still perfectly working and driving! In 2021 the MG TA was sold to two retired MG ‘car guys’ who had owned, repaired, and restored several MG cars over the years as a pastime. The MG TA was taken apart, everything was cleaned and refurbished. Parts were repaired and renewed where necessary. The bodywork is now painted in British Racing Green with green ’piping’ between the panels. The wheels were painted in body colour and shod with Excelsior 4. 50 – 19-inch tyres. The engine, gearbox, and rear axle were serviced, not overhauled, and everything functions beautifully. A new wiring loom was fitted, and the car was completed with great care. This ’pre-war’ MG TA is in a wonderful condition with a fantastic colour scheme! The car shows fantastic original details, and it is a great find for the MG enthusiast!
