This is another Rover that we have recently taken in part exchange for another classic. It displays just 39800 and from what we can see in the extensive history file, it’s probably genuine. The first mot was carried out in 1977 with mileage at just 16896. The mileage through the years is consistently low with a 10 year break between 1993 and 2003, however in that time covered less than 10000. Looking around the obvious on the car it seems to have little wear, so although we cannot 100% warrant it is probably correct
So onto the car. It comes with extensive history, including the original book pack, handbooks, passport to service, lots of the aforementioned mots and parts invoices
The bodywork presents very well as the pictures show, but it is not perfect. There are a couple of areas of minor bubbling that I have photographed. The rear exhaust box is corroded and will require replacement and there is a split in drivers seat
Structurally from what we can see looks sound. Engine bay is clean and tidy and a new distributor has recently been fitted and the engine serviced. We would recommend a set of tyres as the sidewalls are slightly perishing
It starts easily from hot and cold and drives well. It’s a difficult car to know what way to go with, either enjoy it as it is or carry out further improvements, so we have tried to price it with this in mind.
