Tantalising 53, 000 mile family owned plus one from new 1965 MGB Roadster finished in old English White with contrasting black leather upholstery, supplied new by Ray Sargent Ltd of Henley on Thames with the request to include wire wheels, heater, anti roll bar and tonneau cover.
In 2007 the family sold the car and the new owner with the assistance of a professional body shop embarked on a full nut and bolt restoration while maintaining it to original specification. The body shell was completely dry blasted with close attention paid during the re-built to wax injecting all box sections, and applying industrial grade anti corrosion to protect the underside. Body colour has been applied in the wheel arches to enable easy cleaning and to give a show appearance.
Notwithstanding, the rebuilt engine was fully balanced and converted to unleaded fuel, and it was during this process that overdrive was added to the gearbox - a very desirable and must have addition to the car. Brakes, suspension , steering, upholstery, all receiving many new parts where required - with the end result to create a car that wants for nothing.
