1926 Morris Oxford ‘Bullnose’ Doctors Coupe Two Seater and dickey.
With the larger 1, 802cc Oxford engine, this is a practical and capable Vintage tourer.
An older restoration, there are some paintwork issues, notably on the scuttle and dickey seat lid. However, the car has a pleasing patina and is eminently usable as it is.
The car features proper wind up windows and the black everflex hood is in good order. The black leather seat is very comfortable and is in excellent condition.
Once the various controls are mastered the engine starts readily, the magneto having been overhauled very recently. Oil pressure is good.
On test the Oxford drove well. The gearbox is easy to use and the brakes pull the car up square.
The accompanying file includes handbooks, ownership history and photos of the engine being rebuilt.
Well served by the Bullnose Morris Club and Morris Register, the Oxford makes an ideal introduction to Vintage motoring with its robust and simple mechanicals for a very affordable price.
Overall a charming and easy to live with Vintage car which would reward ongoing improvement.
