Description
Alpine A110 Berlinette FASA 1100 - 1970 Passionate red, original spirit There are cars that drive, and others that tell a story. This one, born in 1970 in the FASA workshops in Spain, is an Alpine A110 1100cc, the true Iberian sister of the French Berlinette, of which only 1900 units were made. Its heart still beats to the rhythm of the 688 R8 GORDINI engine, a beat that has remained faithful for over fifty years. This Alpine, dressed in its red original livery, has never been restored. It presents itself in its own juice, untouched and sincere. It was purchased in 2020 by its current owner, an enthusiastic enthusiast, second-hand, who in the same year had an appraisal performed. Its odometer of 26, 893 km (not guaranteed) does not tell the whole story, but its vibrations speak of a preserved past; it competed in the Florio Cup in 2022. The new upholstery was carefully re-trimmed by the Compagnons du Devoir, guardians of Alpine know-how.
Its mechanics are lively, starts easily, purrs at idle and glides away with grace. The glass-reinforced plastic body shows its age with some cracks borne of time, but neither its elegance nor its nobility are diminished. Matching Numbers, collector's registration certificate, entered in the official Alpine register, this Berlinette has not lost any of its soul. It only awaits a loving look to head back on the road.
