Description
It is a pleasure to present you with a unique specimen. This is a very special Alpine Berlinette that belonged to Gerard Brianti, from the TEAM COMAS. It was prepared for the East African Safari; Erik COMAS decided to prepare two A110s for the event. Under the guidance of Olivier Lesage, the team would transform the car in many areas (see details in the article published in MILLE MILLES No. 92).
By late 2009 the car was ready to tackle the African tracks, with its first participation in 2010 at the first edition of the Rallye du Maroc Historique, unsuccessfully. Subsequently, Gerard Brianti acquired two A110 berlinettes prepared for Africa, maintenance being entrusted to Olivier LESAGE, who knows this world well.
Competing in the 2nd edition of the Rallye du Maroc, Gérard rose to 11th place overall. Encouraged by this result, he asked Olivier Lesage for an even more capable car, and it was transformed at LESAGE PASSION AUTOMOBILE.
The berlinette we have for sale has undergone an engine change last year; it now uses a Renault Fuego GTS engine of 1791 cm3 developing 180 bhp. (this engine has barely 300 kms on it). Link to the newspaper article: - details above
