Ford Escort RS1600i in exceptional condition. This car has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration and is stunning. It was first registered on 1st August 1983 and is one of only 530 made in White. We have the V5, showing 7 previous owners, original handbooks, but no service book and a folder full of receipts, old MOTs with corresponding tax discs and receipts for money spent over the years and during the restoration. The car was used from new till May 1995 when it was placed into dry storage with just under 50k miles. The owner stored it till 2008, but started and ran the car every 3 to 4 months. It was then sold in 2008 and recommissioned by the new owner. The car was used occasionaly until 2016 when a full restoration was undertaken. It appears to have been MOTd on its 37th birthday on 1st August 2020. Since then its been owned by private collectors and only covered a further 35 miles,
Body - The car looks superb. Its very straight with no signs of any issues. Underneath is all solid and has been redone in body colour. It has the correct Carello headlamps and spotlights and Hella fog lights. Bumpers and trim are all good. The number is clearly visible on the floor.
Mechanics - Everything looks to have been rebuilt, replaced or renewed. There are receipts for thousands with the car. The car starts and runs and drives very well. Its nice and tight. I dont think the engine has even been fully run in yet.
Interior - Seats have been fully refurbished using Aldridge covers and look superb. Dash has no cracks in it. Good door cards, carpet, headlining. Correct instruments with two led lights which work.
Wheels- Correct wheels with Ford Motorsport written on one spoke. Tyres are all matching Dunlop Sport, which have only covered about 35 miles.
