motodrome offer this high spec 1992 Land Rover Defender 90 200TDi hardtop with side windows.
Externally, it’s been upgraded for greenlaning etc with winch bumper with remote control winch (not tested), steering guard, snorkel, LED light bar, black chequerplate, rock and tree sliders, black alloys shod with a set of BF Goodrich tyres, privacy film to rear windows, swingaway spare wheel carrier, rear worklight, mudflaps all round and towpack.
Internally it has waterproof seat covers on the front seats (the seats underneath are good), a more modern stereo, inclinometer, seat rail extenders for both front seats, centre oddments tray, and two folding seats in the load area, with seatbelts. Also fitted with extra soundproofing.
Mechanically it has it’s original power steering, polybushing, Bilstein shocks all round, uprated steering arms and steering damper.
In 2016, it was rebuilt onto a new Richards Galvanised Chassis, supplied by Ribble Valley 4x4. At the same time the gearbox and transfer box was rebuilt, and a new clutch fitted. It’s likely that most of the upgrades were fitted at the time, and it’s covered around 6000 miles since

In 2025, it’s been serviced with all underside fluids changed, new front brake discs and calipers April 2025 and new cambelt Jan 2025
Comes with MOT to November 2025 (no advisories) and 6 months warranty on sale.
Being a factory 200TDi version, it nips along nicely with good punch from the Turbodiesel motor.
On test on arrival it performed without apparent fault – it’s refreshing to find a 200TDi that doesn’t feel it’s age on the road.
All in all, it’s a very practical smart, traditional Defender with none of the bells and whistles or bling of later models, but with totally simple mechanics and no electronics to go wrong. And with the spec it’s got, it’s ideal to be used offroad, as they were originally designed for.
