1986 Citroen 2CV6 Special - Great Condition - 58000 miles - MOT’d March 2026 – Fully Restored £7650
Say hello to 'Molly May', a charming and fully restored Citroën 2CV6 Special that’s as fun to drive as she is to look at.
This little gem has had no expense spared: a brand new galvanised chassis, fresh interior, new hood, new tyres, electronic ignition, and plenty more.
Over £10, 000 has been lovingly invested in her, with a thick file of handwritten receipts and MOT certificates – including a wee note that says: “Small things £10 or less not shown.”
She’s a real head-turner, full of character, a conversation starter wherever she goes, and an absolute delight to drive.
The exterior paintwork is in good condition and appears to be finished in a traditional coach painted style with some visible brush marks. While not a modern show room finish it certainly doesn’t distract from the overall appearance of the car.
The interior is as new, and it would be hard to find fault in engine bay, boot, or underside.
The car is in Northern Ireland and has a standard UK V5 registration; it’s usable anywhere in the UK without re-registration or import duties.
Please keep in mind that she’s 39 years old, and as with any classic car, even one as good as this, there will always be areas that may need attention, and room for improvement.
The 2CV6 Special was one of the last and best-loved versions of Citroën’s iconic people’s car.
Introduced in the 1970s, it came with a 602cc engine, improved headlights, and a more practical interior – while keeping the trademark simplicity, comfort, and charm of the original.
Production ended in 1990, marking the close of an era after over 5 million 2CVs had been built.
Today, the 2CV6 Special is a cult classic – quirky, charming, and an enduring symbol of French motoring ingenuity.
