Here offered for sale is something a little different for Heel & Toe Cars. This is a 1986 Military Land Rover Defender 90 presented in lovely, honest condition with some beautiful original patina on display.
This particular example features the now rather rare naturally aspirated 2. 5L diesel engine, rear benches, NATO hitch, bonnet mounted spare wheel, military roll bar, aluminium door tops and plenty more.
Presented quite appropriately in Drab Olive Green the bodywork is in honest, unrestored condition and features that quintessential old Land Rover patina.
The original 16 inch steel wheels remain in unrestored and original condition. These are wrapped in Adventuro 750 M/ T tyres all round and date stamped from 2019.
The front seats and rear benches look very smart indeed and feature only minor wear. The remainder of the interior also presents in relatively good order with few cosmetic imperfections as expected.
The canvas roof presents in superb condition without any rips, stains or tears. This is probably due to careful ownership by the former x3 owners since the cars transition to civilian use in March of 2011.
The underside of the Land Rover is free of any previous welds and it has recently been undersealed along with the axles.

A recorded mileage of just over 180k kilometres or around 112k miles.
Recently sold by the Yorkshire Land Rover specialist “John Brown 4x4” at a cost of around £18, 000 making this example an appealing opportunity for an enthusiast.

Lack of service history due to the vehicle being maintained by the military for the majority of its lifetime. The Landy would have been subject to a strict and frequent service regime whilst in active service.
This is a rather splendid thing that would be good fun to use all year round. Whether that be trundling through green lanes or sauntering round the coastline.
