First registered in January 1999, this Marcos Mantis, one of only 44 factory built cars, is a great example of Marcos’ rare and desirable flagship model.
The Mantis, fitted with Ford’s Quad Cam ‘Modular’ V8 mated to a Tremec T45 gearbox and Hydratrak LSD, offers a unique mixture of refinement and performance. AP Racing 4 Pot calipers and Gaz Gold dampers provide cornering and braking capabilities to match the drivetrain, resulting in a relaxed yet intoxicating driving experience.
The Audi Sport Silver bodywork has recently been subjected to a partial respray and presents extremely well. Image split rim wheels sat on brand new Michelin PS4s, an OEM boot spoiler and carbon fibre trim pieces complete the exterior of the car.
Despite being 25 years old, the Bobbin Blue leather is in good condition, the interior being further enhanced by our own carbon fibre dashboard as well as carbon effect door handles and column shroud. Carbon effect has also been added to the mudguards and pedal box covers, which, paired with the freshly powder coated plenum chamber and cam covers, gives the engine bay modern look.
This Mantis comes with all of the usual Marcos features in addition to some more desirable options, including: electrically adjustable pedal box, electric mirrors, air conditioning and power steering.
