Here’s a rare and eye-catching Porsche. It’s a 1988 911 Turbo Cabriolet, which is rare in itself. Add the striking Cassis Red Metallic paintwork with colour coded Fuchs wheels, plus complementing Burgundy and Linen full leather interior, and you have a truly unique classic car. It’s a real head-turner.
The heated Linen leather Sports seats have recently been refinished, so are in lovely condition. The dash and door panels are clad in Burgundy leather and are complemented by Burgundy seatbelts. The car is currently fitted with a lovely Momo Prototipo steering wheel, but the original burgundy wheel is also available. The original Blaupunkt Toronto SQR45 radio/ cassette player is intact, plus there’s a removable wind deflector and hood tonneau cover.
The Porsche has an incredibly detailed history, with two large folders of paperwork detailing extensive work that has been done over the years. The interior was completely retrimmed to original specification and new carpets and hood fitted by Porsche upholsterers Southbound Motor Trimmers in 2004. In 2016, the engine was fully rebuilt by air-cooled Porsche specialist RSR, which is fully documented with photos. The car has covered just 11, 000 miles on the new engine. A new clutch has also been fitted. In 2020, RSR refreshed the exhaust system. In June 20235, RSR undertook a service and brake fluid change.
