Originally registered on 22nd May 1990, this Mercedes 300 SL presents very well in black with beige leather interior and a black hood and matching hardtop. Owned by the previous keeper for 15 years, it was always garaged so the bodywork and paint can only be described as superb with no rust anywhere. During that time, a brand new Longlife stainless full exhaust was fitted. Being an early car, it's far less complicated than later models with no catalysts to worry about and mechanically it's a doddle to work on if you're DIY minded.
A good service history accompanies this Mercedes, with 23 stamps in the service book along with the wallet and other manuals and various maintenance invoices. It also has a tool kit, full-size spare wheel and jack.
Recent expenditure with the present owner includes new under bonnet insulation, front shock top mounts, a new steering dampener and drag link, a new window limit switch and a refurbished roof control module. The front brake discs and pads were also replaced. Consequently the car starts, runs, drives, steers and stops as a well-maintained car should. All electrics work, the windows, roll-bar and roof open and close on the button.
The specification includes rear seats, electric windows, leather electrically adjustable front seats and electrically 4-way adjustable steering column.
