First registered in Japan in 1992, this first-generation RHD manual Honda NSX remained part of a significant private collection before making its way to the UK in 2015.
Finished in Berlina Black with a matching black leather interior, the car is equipped with a manual gearbox, without power steering and benefits from features such as electric windows and seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and its factory-fitted Honda radio cassette player.
The NSX was a landmark model for Honda. In the late 1980s, despite supplying dominant engines in Formula 1, the company’s road-going lineup lacked a true flagship. The NSX changed that entirely. Launched with input from Ayrton Senna, the car was conceived as a direct rival to Ferrari’s 328, combining cutting-edge engineering with everyday usability. Its aluminium construction applied everywhere from the body panels to the factory jack, pioneering for the era. Beneath the skin sat a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated V6, only the second engine to feature Honda’s now-iconic VTEC technology. Inside, the cockpit drew inspiration from the F16 fighter jet, offering superb visibility and driver focus.
Upon its arrival in Britain, this example had covered just 4, 135 miles and immediately underwent a major service that included replacement timing belts. While in the UK the car has had maintenance undertaken by specialists Cameron Sports Cars of Bath, with only limited use in between.
The current keeper acquired the car in May 2023 and promptly commissioned another full service at Crown Honda, including fresh timing belts andwater pump. The car has travelled only 700 miles since, bringing the odometer to a mere 5, 450 miles from new. The car is offered complete with its original tool kit and jack and has been kept in secure storage during the past year.
This low mileage, beautifully preserved early RHD NSX is presented with all books, tools, and both sets of keys.
