Vehicle history:
This 230 SL has been in family ownership for 42 years, with only 2 registered owners in the vehicle records. In 1991 the car was handed over to the son, who is a master auto mechanic himself, who intended to restore the car. For private reasons the restoration was delayed until 2018. He also acquired all original Mercedes spare parts and dedicated several years to the complete restoration himself. This included the entire engine, the gearbox and the rear axle. In 2020 the renowned Pagoda specialist workshop Grosser of Menden refurbished, among other things, the steering, the cabrio roof, the glazing all round and their guides and the front and rear axles. They then also took over the assembly of the vehicle. The car received a pristine new leather interior in the colour dark red, a new carpet, a new fabric hood and a new wood set. All chrome parts of the vehicle were re-chromed or renewed and refitted. A high-quality Mercedes-Benz 230 SL in a beautiful colour combination, which has been driven only sparingly since restoration and is ready immediately for the next excursion.
