KJV 106 is an impeccable example of the early six-cylinder Austin Healey in very rare two-seat form, fully restored in 2010 with just 2, 400 miles since and with over 300 restoration hours carried out here at Rawles Motorsport. Just 133 Austin Healey 100/ 6 BN6 cars were built such as KJV with this model now very popular for its pure body lines.
KJV is finished in Dark British Racing Green with polished cockpit trims, Aluminium Silver 48 spoke wire wheels shod in Michelin XAS tyres. The car features a Black interior with Black piped leather seats and Black carpet set while wet weather gear is all Black mohair inclusive of roof and tonneau, with excellent condition aluminium sliding side screens. KJV is in wonderful condition inside and out, underneath and on top owing to just 2, 400 miles since restoration and one very caring owner in this period.
Rawles Motorsport carried out a significant amount of the bodywork to KJV including fitment of an aluminium boot lid, bonnet plus aluminium front and rear wings which with the exception of the doors makes this a complete aluminium body car. Rawles Motorsport fully painted the car in the rarer dark variant of British Racing Green offered by Austin Healey, more attractive to most eyes than the usual lighter shade. Rawles Motorsport also carried out a full mechanical rebuild of the car including the engine, gearbox and differential with the engine rebuilt to fast road specification including a new fast road aluminium cylinder head, fast road camshaft, new carburettors, porosity kit, upgraded oil seals and upgraded radiator. Over 300 hours of restoration work was completed at Rawles Motorsport with a further estimated 400-500 elsewhere.
