The Lambretta Li series 3 was launched in 1962. It was a remarkable change from the previous Li series 2 with new sleek slim styling. The Li series 3 also had better performance than the previous engines and it had a very good reputation as a smooth and well-balanced scooter with great handling attributes. .
This example was purchased at the H and H motorcycle auction in 2020 by our vendor and was described as freshly restored then. Our vendor did not realise he would need a motorcycle license to use it and has hence never done so. Showing only 36 miles on the speedometer we understand from the vendor that this is the only mileage it has done since it was restored. When he purchased it it was unregistered which he had done and with a certificate from the Lambretta Club of Great Britain.
Our consultant notes that it has the later and arguably more attractive ‘Special’ type side-panels, horncast, head-set and front fender. Also of note is a conversion to 12v electronics. With original Noemi Rosa seat recovered and Nannucci style legshield toolbox. As unused for several years the scooter will need a refresh service
