First Shown at The Los Angeles Motor Show in 2010 the 987. 2 Spyder was the lightest model in the Porsche range and was launched as a “back to basics - driver experience” focussed model. Internet research indicates a world-wide production run of 1667 with approx. 235 being sold in the UK – production seems to have been split 50/ 50 manual and PDK variants with White being the launch colour and the most abundant. Considered to be one of the best driving 987’s of all time and with its Hydraulic Steering it, quite rightly, has become a firm favorite with enthusiasts and collectors.
The Car we have on offer is finished in one of the rarer colours and presents beautifully, I would say with confidence that it is all original paint and is virtually stone chip free, what minor chips were present have been detailed with Chipex and blended, the detailed Paintwork presents perfectly with a deep gloss and is testament to the care of its previous owners. The Bodywork is pin dent & scuff free. The Interior is unmarked with virtually no signs of any wear, the Leather Upholstery and Steering wheel still retain their beautiful Factory Matt Sheen – it has not been smoked in and remains factory fresh. The Carpets have been covered from new and the original mats have hydro-mist cleaned to like new. The Bimini Top is in superb condition and I suspect has spent much of its time stored in the boot. The Wheels are all unmarked and were professionally stripped and refinished in 2024 along with the fitment of a New Set of Pirelli N rated Tyres ( less than 1000 miles ago )
The Car drives exceptionally well as you would hope from such a well maintained example – genuinely hard to better.
