By no means an ordinary example, this 2007 model was built to an exceptionally high specification, then retained by Jaguar Cars for 6 years until long after the model was obsolete. It seems likely the car was built to order for one of the top people at Jaguar for personal use in what was essentially a car built to a Daimler standard in terms of luxuries and finishes, whilst retaining the sportier Jaguar demeanour in longer wheelbase form. The interior of this car is exquisite with the rare benefit of an electric sunroof, Vanden-Plas ruched, soft autolux hide with distinctive piping, and special elmwood veneers which are of a notably attractive grain, and handpicked . Since leaving Jaguar in 2012, the car had two owners for a year or so each before settling with a devout, active Jaguar club enthusiast for 11 years who has kept it fastidiously, covering limited, careful, good weather mileage, mainly for displaying at events. This was unusual, because the (always rare) high spec used Super 8 and XJR cars on the used car market around that time were invariably snapped up by business users who did not take to the post-09 XJ shape. Having been offered, and purchased this car directly from the owner, it is in mint condition requiring no cosmetic preparation whatsoever. It has been health-checked by an ex- main dealer, specialist engineer, and serviced.
