Description
We are looking at an exceptional specimen of one of Lancia’s small sports cars that is highly appreciated and instantly recognisable.
This is one of the last examples produced in the first series, production ended in 1970; as per original specifications it features aluminium moving parts, while the remaining bodywork is crafted in riveted steel.
The car is presented in excellent condition, both mechanically and aesthetically: this is the result of a restoration carried out to a high standard almost 30 years ago by the person who still owns it. These interventions are perfectly recounted and documented in an elegant book created by the owner himself to tell the story of his vehicle.
In this regard it is important to emphasise that the car’s history is complete and documented from the day it was delivered new: there are original registration documents and supplementary sheets, a black Milan number plate dating from 1974 with a chronology of the previous plates (at the time every change of ownership involved a plate change, the first plate can be traced given the car’s wholly Italian history) and all documentation relating to the car’s life from 1987, the year it came into the current owner’s possession and the restoration began, which lasted about 9 years, from 1987 to 1996. All documentation is present and viewable.
A unique opportunity to own a piece of the Turin brand’s history, a fun car with iconic, recognisable lines and a complete and incredibly well-documented history.
The car is available to view by appointment only at our premises. Thanks to our technical and restoration workshop it can be inspected by our professionals, who can provide any technical detail.
