Body / Exterior:
The example presented here is a Lancia Fulvia Zagato Sport 1300 S from March 1971 in its period colour “Rosso Corsa”.
After a professional polishing performed on the orbital machine by our workshop, we noted some imperfections on the engine hood and the rear hatch as well as on the lower edge of the right front wing.
We also noted a small scratch corrected at the top of the right front wing.
The aluminium doors are in excellent condition.
The aluminium front face (headlight surrounds + grille) is in good condition.
We noted a trace of oxidation on the left front headlight surround.
The LANCIA grille pattern shows a slight crazing.
The four 14’’ aluminium Cromodora wheels are in excellent condition.
These are fitted with VREDESTEIN tyres showing wear under 30% at the front and rear.
This exemplar has retained its original spare wheel and its jack.
Among the “Body / Exterior” equipment and options of interest on this exemplar we note: aluminium doors and the four 14’’ Cromodora aluminium wheels.
Interior:
The interior has retained its strict original layout and presents in very good overall condition.
The Nero leatherette upholstery is in very good condition, with no snags, signs of wear or discolouration.
This applies likewise to the matching door panels.
The wooden dashboard is in very good condition.
The cap is also in very good condition, with no cracks or breaks.
All of the VEGLIA dashboard instrumentation is fully functional.
The 3-spoke NARDI leather steering wheel and the Bakelite gear knob are in good condition.
This exemplar is fitted with 3-point front seat belts and a passenger grab handle.
The headlining in grey felt shows slight sagging.
The Nero carpets are in good condition and exhibit a uniform patina of use.
Among the interior options/ equipment of interest on this exemplar are: the passenger grab handle, front 3-point seat belts and the 3-spoke NARDI leather steering wheel.
Chassis:
Lift-on checks confirm a sound bodied car with no visible accident damage and no apparent structural corrosion.
The fundamentals: floors, longitudinal members, sills and wheel arches are in good condition.
Usage reserve: by principle we cannot guarantee perfect alignment beyond their visually and functionally validated state during road test and lift.
During the dynamic test, we noted no abnormal rattles or noises from the body or running gear (ball joints, bushings, etc.).
Braking is balanced and aligned, with performance in line with era standards.
Front discs and pads show wear under 30%.
Rear discs and pads show wear under 40%.
The pre-delivery technical inspection performed by our workshop confirms the overall proper functioning.
Engine / Transmission:
The mechanics are operating perfectly.
Compression test results and road test conducted by our workshop confirm an engine in excellent health.
The V4 starts promptly and idling is stable, as confirmed by the 360° video with the engine running, available at the start of the gallery.
When up to temperature, revs climb smoothly without hiccups or smoke.
Oil pressure when cold is 15 psi at 900 rpm.
Engine reliability is improved by the installation of an oil cooler and electronic ignition (123 Ignition).
The four gears go up and down smoothly, with no sticking in the syncros except second gear under fast driving.
Clutch bite is good.
This exemplar is equipped with a battery cut-off switch.
As with many of these models, engine / gearbox / differential sealing remains average.
