The current owner, an Aston Martin enthusiast, and a member of the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC). purchased the car in 1977 with around 65, 000 miles on the clock. It was a very usable classic and suited the owner, never bought as a main means of transport just for the joy of ownership but even then, it was a costly hobby and it was clear that the Aston was in need of some money spending.
