Limited Edition 'Grey Ghost' Fat Boy FLSTF
All over silver finish with yellow highlights
Supplied with US Title showing export in 2007
Harley Davidson was established in Milwaukee in 1903 and has gone on to become one of the world's most iconic and longest running motorcycle manufacturers. Harley epitomise large-capacity cruisers that many have tried to copy but have never managed to match Harley's image and prestige. In the mid-1970s, mechanical engineer Bill Davis designed and built a predecessor to the Softail and patented the design, eventually selling his patents to Harley-Davidson in 1982. The Fat Boy was one of numerous Harley-Davidson models built on the Softail frame, with the 1340cc Evo engined 1990 FLSTF becoming known as the 'Grey Ghost'. With an all Silver paint finish, solid wheels and yellow accents on the engine cases it was seen as a tribute to the US Air Force B29 Superfortress bomber plane, with the bike earning a starring role in 'Terminator II', ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Only 4440 were offered for sale in 1990, and today the Grey Ghost Fat Boy is among the most collectible of the '90s Harleys. In 2025, Harley released a limited-edition "Icons" model that pays tribute to the 1990 original.

This 1990 Fat Boy Grey Ghost spent its early years in Michigan before being imported into the UK in 2007. Since then, it has been stored in an inflatable bubble as part of small private collection of rare Harleys. Showing just 147 miles on the clock it has not been run for a while, so it will need recommissioning and a new battery before use. The bike has never been registered in the UK, but will be supplied with the 2007 Bill of Sale and the Michigan Certificate of Title, stamped that it was exported through JFK Airport on the 7th October. An opportunity to acquire a bike that is rarely seen on these shores, with what is essentially delivery mileage.
