L’Atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer you a modern icon of the American muscle car: a Shelby GT-H “Hertz Heritage Edition”, displaying only 10, 100 miles on the odometer, in its legendary Black & Gold configuration with black leather interior.
Produced in only 500 units to celebrate 40 years of the legendary partnership between Shelby and Hertz, this GT-H pays homage to the famous 1966 GT350-H, which customers could hire for a weekend to experience a proper race car on public roads.
This special edition, based on the Mustang GT V8 4. 6L convertible, was revised by Shelby Automobiles in Las Vegas with numerous modifications:
– Fibreglass hood with air intake
– Borla Performance exhaust
– Specific sport suspension
– 17-inch Shelby chrome wheels
– Full aesthetic pack (front splitter, spoiler, Shelby badges)
– Specific numbering and Shelby plaque under the hood
This Shelby GT-H is not merely a prepared Mustang: it’s a modern collector’s piece, a nod to Shelby’s racing heritage, a coveted item now rare in Europe, and a superb GT to live with every day.
Our example, in its iconic black with double gold stripes livery and black leather interior, is in simply exceptional condition.
Unlike its sisters used for rental, our example is an exceptional convertible, which has never been operated in a fleet. It previously belonged to a Hertz branch manager, which explains its remarkable condition and its ultra-low mileage of only 10, 100 miles (about 16, 000 km).
Delivered new in 2007, it was acquired in Miami in 2017 by its current French expatriate owner, who then brought it back to France in 2020 to integrate into his private collection.
Mechanically, the 4. 6L V8 is lively, silky, and perfectly complemented by a smooth and well-graded five-speed automatic transmission.
The Borla exhaust system delivers a rugged yet controlled sound, especially enjoyable in a convertible.
The running gear is healthy, brakes powerful, steering precise; it’s a genuine modern American GT, usable and reliable.
The wheels are in very good condition and fitted with four new tyres.
Esthetically, the black paint is deep and provides a brilliant lustre.
As part of its sale, we have carried out several works, including correcting defects on the bumpers and the stripes (visible in the photos) to perfect the presentation of this Shelby.
The black leather interior is as clean as the exterior, with no dinks or notable wear, plastics are gleaming and the instrumentation fully functional.
The hood is in excellent condition and the mechanism is functional.
