So, whats a MAGNI!
A hand‑built Italian superbike created by Arturo Magni and his sons in the early 1990s, using the then‑new Moto Guzzi Daytona 4‑valve engine inside a bespoke Magni chassis with the firm’s signature Parallelogrammo torque‑reaction‑cancelling swingarm. It was produced in very small numbers:
75 units in the first generation (1993–94)
The bike exists because of a racing programme in Australia, which proved so successful that Magni built a road‑going version.
• In 1991, Australian importer Ted Stolarski commissioned Magni to build a Moto Guzzi–powered race bike for the Battle of the Twins series.
• Magni used the brand‑new Daytona 4V OHC engine and created a new frame and — for the first time on a Magni — a monoshock rear suspension.
• The race bike performed exceptionally well, prompting Magni to unveil a road‑legal version at EICMA 1991, though production didn’t begin until 1993 due to engine supply delays.
This is why the bike is called Australia — it’s literally named after the racing effort in Perth.
Core identity
The first generation is the “purest” Australia — closest to the race bike, raw, mechanical, and unmistakably early‑90s Italian boutique engineering.

Why the Magni Australia matters
• It’s one of the most significant boutique Italian superbikes of the 1990s.
• It represents the peak of Arturo Magni’s post‑MV Agusta engineering.
• It’s the first Magni to use a monoshock.
• It’s one of the few bikes to combine Guzzi’s Daytona 4V engine with a genuinely sporting chassis.
• Production numbers are tiny, making it highly collectible.
