Where do you start with a car this striking? A thing of boyhood dreams and a true pleasure to have gracing our showroom, this beautiful LM400 is not only incredibly rare, being one of 4 coupe LM400’s made, but it packs quite a lot of extra punch too. The paintwork looks incredible in the sun, with a deep lustrous shine, hop inside the neat leather interior, adjust the pedals to suit you (as the seats are fixed as part of the tub) and fire her up. You’re met with a purposeful V8 burble that has a snarl unlike other Rover V8’s…
The big wing on the back isn’t just there for fun, it is a real wing from an LM500 race car, given by and signed by Cor Euser, the works driver for Marcos in period. It was added to help stick the rear end to the floor, as the engine has been “breathed on” somewhat; Having been fitted with an NCK Sports pack and a Rotrex supercharger too, it puts out double its original power, now 384bhp. With a weight of 1075kg, that’s a pretty serious power to weight ratio.
To keep all that grunt in check, the car has benefitted from upgraded suspension, brakes, uprated differential, light weight wheels and much more. Having had £35k spent on upgrades in the past 3 years, it is safe to say that this LM is absolutely tip top and as good as it can get.
On the road the car is purposeful, direct, but not rattly or harsh. A credit to the choice upgrades that have not only made it better on track, but making a B-Road more enjoyable too. If you’re after a Marcos of any description, this has to be in the running, it just looks so right with that stance and of course the wing!

With only 4 previous owners, the car is supplied with full history from new and all of the invoices for the works carried out too. Even the inside of the glovebox has been signed by Jem Marsh, this car has every single box ticked!
