Description
1998 BMW E36 M3 Evolution Convertible – Estoril Blue – 6 Speed Manual – Hardtop Included
Offered for sale is my BMW E36 M3 Evolution Convertible, finished in the iconic Estoril Blue with Dove Grey Vader leather interior and the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox.
The car presents extremely well and has clearly been cherished throughout its life. The Estoril Blue paintwork retains a fantastic shine and the overall condition of the car always attracts positive comments when out and about. The Dove Grey Vader interior remains in very good condition and provides a wonderful contrast to the exterior colour.
The electric soft top was professionally replaced in 2023 at a cost of £1, 200 and remains in excellent condition. The car is also supplied with its genuine BMW hardtop, allowing it to be enjoyed throughout the winter months as well as during the summer.
The car sits on refurbished diamond-cut genuine Style 24 alloy wheels fitted with four brand-new tyres. It benefits from a Scorpion stainless steel cat-back exhaust, which gives the straight-six a deeper, more purposeful soundtrack while retaining excellent road manners.
Modern upgrades have been kept tasteful and include Apple CarPlay, an integrated reverse camera and upgraded speakers, making the car easy to enjoy on longer journeys without detracting from its character.

The car will be supplied with a fresh MOT and has recently benefited from approximately £800 worth of maintenance, including four new tyres and a replacement coil spring.
In the interests of transparency, there are a couple of minor areas of lacquer peel on the side skirts and a small area on the boot lid (pictured). The hard top could also do with the headlining being re-glued. These are cosmetic only and do not detract from what is otherwise a very smart and well-presented example.
Having owned and enjoyed a number of BMWs, particularly E36s over the years, this has been a special car to own. The combination of the Evo engine, 6-speed gearbox, and the ability to put the roof down on a sunny day has completely changed my thoughts on sports convertibles.
A well-maintained and increasingly collectable example that is ready to be enjoyed immediately. I had intended to keep the car for the long run; however, my E36 track car build is taking priority.
Viewings are welcome - please reach out via email/ message first as my phone autodeclines unknown numbersI don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the E36 M3 in Evo form is the perfect modern-classic convertible. It's every bit as engaging on the road as a coupe or saloon but with the added spectacle of being able to drop the roof on a sunny day and take in the wonderful sounds from the S50.
I have some very well-sorted E36s and this gets the most positive attention by far. It's a real joy to drive and an equal pleasure to look at when you've parked it up.
