For sale: very nice 1973 Yamaha DT 250, USA model, speedometer in miles (2, 131 miles)
Cosmetic restoration carried out by the previous owner (stripping off the paint on the frame/ fender/ front mudguard/ fuel tank and repainting in the original colour scheme, with stripes done in paint).
The top end was dismantled for inspection of the cylinder and it matches the mileage shown. This example is completely original and carries serial number 153705, frame and engine, as per Yamaha’s practice.
Collector vehicle registration document in my name with 3, 429 km.

For its 1973 model year, Yamaha presents an all-new-generation DT 250.
Even more focused on off-road use:
- 21" front wheel (instead of 19" originally)
- increased ground clearance by one inch
With the larger front wheel, straight-line stability off-road is improved.
Without, however, affecting road handling on tarmac.
