Mechanical Condition & Maintenance
Do not let the 80k mileage deter you. This bike comes with a comprehensive, full service history throughout my 15-year tenure. It starts cleanly, runs beautifully, and the legendary EXUP valve operates exactly as it should. It has been my pride and joy, and no expense has been spared on its mechanical upkeep.

Cosmetic Condition (Honest Assessment)
The bike is in really good, honest, original condition for its age, but it does show a few signs of its 37-year life:
* The Plastics: As is common with 80s Yamahas, the fairing plastics have become brittle with age. Both front inner fairing panels have splits around the mounting bolt holes.
* The Left-Hand Side: Three years ago, I fell victim to the classic stationary mistake—trying to pull away with a front U-lock still attached. The bike tipped over at 0 mph. Because of this, the left-hand fairing has a few chips and blemishes. The right-hand fairing remains in good condition.
