Austin A35, 1959, 4-door saloon – 948cc. Black with Red interior £2, 250
First registered on 1st January 1959, she has had eight previous owners. I fully restored her four years ago and the restorations included:
• Engine rebuild, re-bore, new pistons, new shell bearings, new timing chain and tensioner, new seals and gaskets
• Two new leaf springs
• New rear brake drums
• Various parts re-chromed e. g. hub caps, re bumper, front grille
• Overall chrome is good
• All Chassis welded and in good order
• New wing mirrors
• 4 new tyres
• New carpets
• New seat covers
• New door cards and recovered
• New headlamps and chrome trims
• New door seals
• All new copper brake pipes
• New battery
• Plus other various parts
The car has original riveted wheels, a small brass fire extinguisher and the roof lining is in good order. Austin Driver’s Handbook and Haynes Manual are included.
There is some small bubbles (like goosepimples)coming through but these are minor. There is no spare tyre but the wheel has been painted ready for one to be fitted. She has an MOT till July 28th 2012 and taxed till 31st July 2012. She should have no problems with passing MOTs for many years to come. She is tax exempt and cheap to run and insure.
I have the registration document and have no reason to believe that the registration number is not transferrable.
She has 37, 409 miles and since restoration she has done 254 miles and is housed in a garage. Overall she looks lovely and she drives lovely. I am reluctant to sell but need the space. Cash on collection.
