We are very pleased to offer this super rare Simca 8 Sport Cabriolet, bodied in aluminium by Facel on a Pininfarina design. These desirable rarities have the same design as the Cisitalia 202 and 303 spiders.
This example is a second series from 1950, still retaining the heart-shaped bonnet and central instrument binnacle.
It will need bodywork as it was unfortunately damaged in places during construction work at an ex-owner's.
It retains its original Marchal headlights, bumpers are correct front and aft and the interior is in very condition.
The driving experience is very satisfactory, the 1200cc Simca engine (Fiat origins, not matching numbers) with its Solex carburettor does a good job of taking this car around and the 4 speed gearbox engages well.
The Simca 8 will be your entry ticket to many concourses around the globe and is fast rising in price, make sure you put ours in your garage now at a still-sensible price.
