Description
Simca 8 sport coupé of October 1951, in its strictly original condition, at the start of restoration following a front-right wing impact during a rally at the time. Stored since the 1950s. Bodywork of the engine compartment redone or restored, original 50 hp engine back in service with all the usual precautions (engine cover cleaned, adjustments, fresh oil, etc.). Starts and runs very well (video available). Oil pressure good and rev counter working. Beautiful dashboard. The standard registration document is present and all the serial numbers, shell and engine numbers are compliant. Sold with a front aluminium mask strictly of the same model, and various parts except the two seats missing (an original 8 sport model supplied). All floors and the battery tray are sound. Racing upgrades: shortened gear lever with relay, dual pedal setup, two coils, breather-filter, twin shock absorbers at the front. The coupé is rarer (76 listed to date by the Simca club) than the cabriolet (121 listed). Good example: an identical restored model to the top condition sold last year for €88, 500 (Good Timers). For the discerning enthusiast of originality and authenticity. Information by telephone. Price to be discussed on site. Sold for health reasons. Trade-in possible on a vehicle in the same condition, even with a cash adjustment. Make an offer.
