A particularly pleasing & striking car with very pretty Brougham sedanca style coachwork. It was restored to a very high standard in the late 1990's with sparing use since. This car was museum stored for the last 5 years due to the ill health & eventual passing of the last owner. We have upon collecting the car given it a full re-commissioning service & are happy to report it is running beautifully.
The car was shipped in November of 1936 to Ripon Brothers for a somewhat staid enclosed limousine body. The current very very elegant body was added to the car post-war & takes the form of a Brougham sedanca. allowing for alfresco motoring up front whilst the passengers remain cossetted in the rear. Pretty blue glass opera lamps are fitted to both sides.
The car is finished in two-tone cream over fawn paintwork; a colour scheme that suits it perfectly & follows the Brougham like body lines to the rear. The paintwork is flawless & executed to a very high standard presenting in as new condition.
To the interior is Burgundy leather up front & cloth to the rear seats again in perfect order as if freshly restored. All woodwork has been removed & repolished to a high standard including the useful cocktail cabinet to the rear. Twin fold out occasional tables emerge from the bulkhead.
Under the bonnet, the engine bay is clean & well detailed. The engine starts readily & runs very quietly; a testament to work done to it in the 1990's. Factor build records come with the car but little else as the other paperwork has been misplaced but will be forwarded to us should it emerge from the estate of the last owner. A set of small tools is located in a recess to the rear boot lid along with the built in Jack handle.
Indicated mileage is 63, 000 which may very well be correct given the taut tight feel the car has when driven. It is freshly serviced & absolutely ready for immediate use.
