Description
This 1956 Austin Healey 100/ 6 BN4 2+2 was notably produced at the Longbridge factory on 17th December 1956 (Mille Miglia eligible) in the rare and coveted original Florida Green body colour on Black interior trim and Black hood. Longbridge cars are a rarity and were produced only between May 1956 and December 1957 before production was relocated to the Abingdon factory. These early cars are identified by a unique bonnet design with a crease down the middle and a locking door handle on the drivers side. Originally dispatched to Alabama, USA this early 100/ 6 was well specified from the factory with a laminated windscreen, heater, overdrive and Dunlop wire wheels. This car is available converted to RHD.
In its current state this car represents an easy restoration with much of the works already completed with the engine already rebuilt and much of the bodywork already undertaken. The car is currently supplied with a red interior and preparation was undertaken to be painted with a black exterior but can very easily be finished either to its original colors or your own specification. The car is a matching numbers example and is provided with a heritage certificate of authenticity.
This car is available for sponsorship and rebuild either to original specification or your exacting requirements including many available upgrades offered uniquely by us. Please call to arrange a viewing and discuss your specification or to receive our ‘Austin Healey Restoration and Design Manual’ guide detailing all available paint and trim specifications and upgrades.
