Opel Manta Berlinetta – 32, 000 miles from New
Designed by GM’s Chuck Jordan, Opel launched its first Manta in 1970, a sporting coupe version of the accomplished Ascona saloon. Like Ford, who designed the Capri with shades of the Mustang, GM echoed the lines of their own muscle car, the Camaro. The result was a “drivers” car arguably superior to the Capri with great handling, superior engineering and looks to die for.
Milestone Classics are delighted to have sourced such a remarkable unrestored example of this highly desirable 1980’s icon. The previous keeper cherished his Manta Berlinetta for over 30 years and the car remains in stunning condition today with outstanding original bodywork, unmarked interior, excellent mechanics and will be sold with original service book, handbooks and a history folder that includes MOT’s back to 1982
With the price of Ford Capri’s continuing to rise the Manta really does offer a very attractive and far rarer alternative – we recommend early viewing of this exceptional example in order to avoid disappointment
