EXTERIOR
The Cinnobar Red paint is in beautiful condition on this MG. The paintwork is very fresh and has not suffered from sun damage. The whole car is incredibly original and the paint shines beautifully and it is free from rust. It is evident that this example has been looked after, with the paintwork having a lovely depth of shine and looking fresh for the age. There is no rust, blemishes or scratches. Likewise, all light lenses and trim retain a fresh appearance.
INTERIOR
The Silver-Grey cloth is in as close to new condition as possible. The carpet, trim, switches are all free of wear and are not suffering from sun damage. The interior is in beautiful original condition, with the seats being very plump and taut. The seat bolsters are just as great and are free from any scuffs or sagging. The dashboard and centre console are also in equally fine condition, with no cracks or sun damage to be found. The red carpets are still bright and do not suffer from any wear.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This MG is powered by a 1. 3-litre unit, mated to a manual gearbox and performs as it should. We have just given the engine bay a freshen up, deep cleaning and refurbishing parts where needed. This has now resulted in an engine bay with a fresh appearance throughout.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The alloy wheels are in pristine factory-condition, having just been fully refurbished and are shod in Marshal tyres all with good tread.
HISTORY
This MG Metro Mark 1 was first registered in March 1983 and comes with a host of old MOTs, verifying this very low mileage of 35, 000, owner’s handbook and spare keys. This is a car that has been maintained properly and this is evident in person. There cannot be many examples of an MG Metro Mark 1 in equally as fine a condition as this car. This car is ready to be enjoyed on our roads.
