The Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati is a special ‘limited edition’ convertible with only 499 examples made for Europe, with only 20 of the 499 being in Right Hand Drive.
The 695 Edizione Maserati follows the hugely successful 695 Tributo Ferrari project but this model features exclusive style details and special technical features developed by Abarth engineers for Maserati.
The exterior and interior styling take many hints from the Maserati brand, including the Neptune rims and custom exhaust tips, which Pops and burbles. There is a dedicated Alutex plate, bearing "695 Edizione Masertati and its individual number on the centre console of each Edizione Maserati. This is nos 38/ 499.
The Edizione Maserati edition is a very different car to its rival Ferrari or Biposto editions. You have to drive it and see it appreciate to really appreciate its charm.
Mechanically, the car comes with the 1. 4 Litre Turbocharged T-Jet 16V Engine producing just over 180bhp, mated to variable back-pressure dual mode exhaust that improves engine performance, creating a 0-60Mph in just 6. 9 seconds, and delivers an awe-inspiring sound above 3, 000 rpm. Further, a sport mode can increase the sensitivity of the driving experience, improving throttle response, steering weight and the sound of the car.
The electrically-operated Abarth Competizione gearbox with steering wheel paddles, transforms its character, and it has been highly praised to being one of the best hot hatches to drive. The chassis has been designed to cope with the extra power and the car benefits from a few other tweaks including the Brembo Monobloc Calipers, and exceptional Koni shock absorbers, which transform the ride quality.
This example is finished in 'Pontevecchio Bordeaux' (a Special 3-Layer Paint) with Sand Beige Leather interior. My car has covered 24000 miles from new, I’m the only owner.
It is a fantastic car for city driving, but it comes alive in the countryside. As there are only 20 Right Hand Drive models worldwide, this really is very very rare little car, and special enough to always put a smile on your face. You will not see another on the road.
This car is supplied with an extended Abarth Manufacturer's Warranty until June 2018. It has a full abarth main dealer service history, completed each year. The most recent being June 2017, and includes 12mths MOT.
