Description
The ‘100’ announced in October 1959 was the Rover flagship model with the new 2. 6 straight six engine, alloy panels, front disc brakes and overdrive all fitted as standard. Conceived as a ‘Gentleman’s Express’ with luxurious wood/ leather interior and 100mph performance to match the Rover was the car of choice for the upwardly mobile professional of the early 1960’s.
This handsome Rover 100 was acquired by the last owner from Hurst Park Automobiles and is the most original P4 you could wish to find. The stunning two-tone grey paint work has excellent panel fit and is complimented by the original red leather/ wood interior which is in excellent condition.
On the road the car drives as good as it looks with recent expenditure on the gearbox, brakes, distributor and radiator. The Rover comes with a complete factory tool kit and even has the original luggage straps to fix the boot lid down over additional family luggage.
We search long and hard to find cars of this standard. It is the best P4 we have seen for many years and we expect her to find an appreciative new home very quickly.
