This stunning MGB Roadster was first registered on the 13th September 1971 and comes with a comprehensive history to include MOT certificates dating back to 1981 when just ten years old. The MGB was subject of a full nut and bolt, Heritage shell rebuild in 2007 and then kept with one owner for ten years. Over the ten years of ownership the MGB covered 3000 faultless miles and due to lack of recent use came to us for the first time in early 2017. Over the summer the MG has been owned by one of our long term customers and has now come back to us in part exchange for a classic to detail over the winter.
LFB 747K presents superbly with a top class body colour underside. From viewing the car from underneath, it's clear the car has the potential to be taken to the very highest of standards for show level, but for anybody looking for a structurally perfect MGB ready to use and enjoy, this is an ideal choice. The MG has stunning Tartan Red paintwork, very smart chrome work, excellent wire wheels, a lovely ten year old hood and an absolutely superb engine bay. The bulkhead and inner wings are first class and the engine and ancillaries present very well. The boot area is carpeted and superbly presented and the interior nicely finished with Club Sport leather seats, excellent carpets, crackle dash and Moto-Lita steering wheel.
On the road this MG performs exceptionally well with a strong, rebuilt engine holding excellent oil pressure. This MG has the desirable option of overdrive and the four speed gearbox changes smoothly up and down the gearbox. LFB 747K holds the road superbly, steering feels tight, precise, adjustable Spax Shockers are fitted to the rear and we also note the car has drilled front brake discs. Having covered just over 3000 miles since a full rebuild, this is still a relatively fresh restoration although over ten years since the work completed. Having not been used over 2016, the MGB was put through our Malton Coachworks workshop for a full service earlier in the year and is ready to go.
