Description
1974 with 48500 miles on the clock. 15 month restoration costing over £23000.
The works were undertaken by ‘Dave Barber Restorations’ including a comprehensive replacement of the majority the electrics, including a new loom and an added Voltmeter. 100% replacement of the cooling system including the larger heater matrix, you can now keep warm in winter. Full fuel line replacement, full brake pipe replacement. Refurbished O/ D unit, refurbished gearbox including new lay shafts. Replaced the rear suspension with adjustable shock absorbers. Fully serviced the front suspension units recently. New Electronic ignition. Discrete kill switch installed.
Re-crinkled the dash and cleaned and fed the black leather seats. Fitted a ‘Moto Lita’ steering wheel. The car was then subject to a full professional respray, with some new glass.
Having initially picked up the car as a runner in need of attention, it now is mechanically and electrically sorted and fully run in. I use it regularly on dry days. There are over 200 photo’s and video’s of the restoration plus full invoicing for work and parts. A heritage certificate came with the car.
Its just had a full service and a MOT with no advisories to July 2027
I have it insured foe £28000. I will accept offers iro £25k
The car is now fully sorted and run in, its time to move on and find something else. It is never taken out when it is wet, but is run regularly throughout the year.
