Description
This lovely old Rover was restored by it's previous owner 20 years ago. The body was repaired, then removed from the chassis, which was repaired as required, sand blasted and then repainted, the car was reassembled and repainted in grey over black. The interior was treated to new carpets and door cards and the seats cleaned and repaired, all the woodwork was refinished correctly. The engine was stripped and checked needing only new piston rings and shells, the other mechanicals were checked and deemed good.
The front bumper has recently been rechromed and the radiator recored.
Since the restoration the car has only been out in the rain a couple of times and has done 3000 more miles, being used on high days and holidays.
It still looks very smart and drives very well, cruising quite happily at 70 mph in overdrive top, and is a very comfortable ride.
There are one or two little imperfections in the paint, but after 20 years, its pretty good!
The car comes with a fair amount of history including it's original guarantee from Rover, buff logbook, original Radiomobile radio instructions and guarantee, lots of old mots, driver's handbook, etc, etc.
Although at present fitted with later 110 wheel trims, the original hubcaps are available if required.
The car has current mot until 29/ 7/ 18 and is obviously tax exempt.
There are lots more pictures available, please email and I will send them through, or if you want to have a chat about the car or book a test drive, please call Mike at Westcountry Classics on the details below.
