1966 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES I 2+2 COUPÉ
A style icon with competition in its DNA, the E-type evolved from Jaguar’s racing D-type which won at Le Mans 1955,'56 and '57.
Originally available from 1961 with the 3. 8 litre engine as an open two-seater or fastback fixed-head coupé. In 1965 a 2+2 Coupé with the 4. 2 litre engine was available along with full synchromesh four speed gearbox, improved brakes, front seats and benefitting from more headroom.
This particular LHD, fixed head 2+2 Coupé is a matching numbers car and has a recorded mileage of just 13, 783 miles from new. The engine has excellent oil pressure, compression and a very smooth gear change.
Built in June 1966, this car is one of the best unrestored examples available. The body panels are all original with excellent panel gaps and having come from Florida, there is no sign of corrosion on the underneath or any body panels.
The car still retains its factory colour scheme of Carmen Red with beautiful original black leather interior and stylish interior switches.
This car has had a full Jaguar Land Rover health check inspection which covers over 120 body, trim and mechanical parts of the car. The car will also be supplied with a UK title, MOT and a full 12 month warranty supported by Jaguar Land Rover Classic.
