This very pretty B ticks all the right spec boxes in Flame Red with wires, chrome bumpers and overdrive.
According to the ample history file, the car was extensively restored in 1986/ 87 including a bare metal repaint, new full inner and outer sills, new wings, doors, bonnet, most of the interior and exterior trim was replaced, as well as all required mechanical works including an unleaded cylinder head.
Although this was 30 odd years ago, the car has had only two more owners since, both of which have kept it garaged and not used it a vast amount, indeed we recommissioned the car in 2009, due to lack of use, since when it has only done 700 miles!
We collected it a few weeks ago having not been used for the past 7 years and have now recommissioned it again, servicing the brakes, fitted a new single 12 volt battery, cleaning off the underside and wax treated it, the wheels have been sand blasted and powder coated.
The paintwork (it is 30 years old!) has polished up pretty well, but it is a bit scabby here and there, we have touched it in as required to prevent it getting worse, hopefully you can see this in the pictures. It can be used as is, or at some stage be repainted. The panel work is still very good, odd little dints, but no rot or bubbly rust in the usual MGB places.
The chrome again has cleaned up quite well, but does have rust spots on the bumpers and overriders.
The car is now up and running and mot’ed and running and driving very nicely, ready for the new owner to use and enjoy or take it to the next level.
