The Lotus Cortina were revered in the Motor Sports world and could be found across a broad spectrum of competitive events the world over. From Motor Racing to Rallying, from Rallycross to Sprints and Hillclimbs.
Ford of course made a huge variety of Cortina and over a long period the car was the number one best seller in Britain.
The car we offer for sale here is a combination of a Mark2 with the 2 door body shell but uprated to give not only the appearance of a Lotus Cortina but also similar performance with the 1700cc crossflow engine and twin 45 Weber Carburettors, 234 Kent Cam, Big Valve Head etc. The spec list is almost endless, and this was all added to a shell that has been stripped back to complete basics, and rebuilt from the ground up.
The interior has been retrimmed to and the seat re-upholstered in a beautiful soft black Nappa Leather. A new roof lining has been fitted, and the whole car looks like it Just left the factory, even the underneath looks like it.
