This car is simply one of the best available on the market today and is undoubtedly one of the most correct and best preserved examples, being well known in Riley circles.
Supplied new by Aero Motors of Newcastle, this Plus Ultra Monaco was to remain in its first owners hands until he passed away in1958. At this point it had covered just 47, 000 miles and was entirely original. Aero Motors then re-acquired the car, keeping it on their premises on display and in 1976 an exacting, but sympathetic restoration was undertaken with the intention of maintaining originality wherever possible.
The car returned to the road and was taken to the Riley Register Coventry Rally where it won a First Class Award and over the years further awards have been gained.
Correctly finished in blue and black and retaining its original dark blue leather trim, the interior woodwork is in first class condition and the optional sun roof and Special Series twin carburettor engine are fitted.
The car currently has 55, 600 miles recorded - so just 8, 600 miles have been covered in 60 years and it drives exceptionally well.
For a Riley enthusiast seeking a truly authentic example of this iconic model, this car is most certainly worthy of close inspection and is a car to preserve and cherish.
